Support Article: Improved Check Processing

     Processing checks is now faster and more convenient. You can edit receipts from this screen instead of having to go back to the customer folders and you can also change the check recipient from the company to the customer or to a 3rd party address if needed.

When you open up Check Processing you may notice that your receipts are not visible. Don't panic! You need to click on the Rebuild button in the lower left hand corner. This creates a temporary work file on your local computer that speeds up the process time.

If you wanted to change anything on Paul Jones' receipt, you would highlight the record selector next to his name, then click on the Edit button. You'll be looking at a very familiar receipt maintenance screen where you can make changes such as payment type, transaction type, description, amount, etc. After you make the changes, click Save. Remember you must have adequate permissions to do this!

If you need to change the recipient of the check, then select the receipt, and click on the corresponding button in the middle of the screen. Print your checks as usual when you're finished. Simple as that!
